From team: “Theresa Yu joined Pleiades in the fall of 2019 and immediately became an indispensable defender and handler and has also become a go-to cutter in recent seasons. She appeared on Ultiworld’s 2022 Breakout Player of the Year podium and has grown into one of Pleiades’ most invaluable players on and off the field. In addition to being a three-time D-I College National Champion and a member of the gold medal-winning USA U24 National Team in 2024, Theresa is a standout teammate and friend, giving her all to Pleiades and lifting up her teammates alongside herself. Theresa captained Pleiades in the 2023-24 season, coached youth ultimate in the Triangle, and embodies Pleiades’ most central values of dedication, trust, support, and love, while inspiring her teammates to do the same. We are delighted to have her as our captain, teammate, friend, and 2024 Callahan nominee.”
