UBC Thunderbirds Women’s Ultimate is proud to nominate Miu Shiraiwa for the 2025 Callahan Award.
Miu has been a cornerstone of our program, consistently demonstrating exceptional skill, leadership, and work ethic. A vital part of our offense, she’s known for her ability to make big plays and adapt on both sides of the disc. Whether creating opportunities as a cutter or locking down opponents on defense, Miu gives 100% every time she steps on the field.
Her standout performances at Red Flag, Team Canada, and Royals showcase her elite level of play, but it’s her dedication off the field that sets her apart. Miu is always the first to offer help or take extra reps, and her positive attitude and leadership make her a role model for the entire team. We’re excited to nominate her for the 2025 Callahan Award and proud to have her represent UBC.
