Biography
Lia Schwartz has been throwing dimes for as long as her hands were big enough to hold a disc. She grew up on the sideline of ultimate games and played her first tournament at 12. Lia has helped to bring ultimate to countless people, founding 2 youth teams in DC and coaching youth ultimate. She has played for elite club teams in Grit and Brute Squad and competed with the USA and Japan national teams, winning an international title with the USA U-20 team. She came to Tufts in 2021 and has been an instrumental part of the team ever since. As captain this year she helped to lead EWO to our first ever undefeated regular season.
Lia is the rare combination of an exceptional, inspirational frisbee player and the most supportive teammate anyone could ask for. Lia took on a huge role on EWO from the moment she joined the team and she has built the team we are today. She inspires all her teammates with her dedication to improving herself and others, and has endless energy for uplifting those around her. On and off the field, we are all better for having known her.
