Biography
Laura Blume began playing ultimate in the summer of 2021 after her freshman year. She has since emerged as a standout in the college scene. In 2025, she earned First Team honors at every tournament of the college season and was named to the College Player of the Year (POTY) watchlist, a testament to her consistency, leadership, and impact on the field.
A three-year captain of the UCSB Burning Skirts, Laura has been instrumental in building a competitive and connected team culture. Her ability to lead with both intensity and empathy has made her a trusted voice in huddles and a force between the lines. She has also spent two seasons with Flipside, gaining valuable experience at the club level and contributing to high-level postseason performances.
Internationally, Laura was selected to the France U-24 Mixed Team for the 2025 World Championships, where she will serve as a Spirit Captain.
Laura is known for her relentless work ethic, sharp field awareness, and the energy she brings to every team—equal parts competitor and connector. Whether laying out for a block, mentoring rookies, or dancing on the sideline, she brings a fierce and wholehearted energy that elevates those around her.
