Biography
The CWRU Fighting Gobies are proud to nominate Isabelle Deputy as our 2026 Callahan nominee. Before college, she competed at a high level with Philly Phang in YCCs and Philly Zephyr at the club level. She also tried out for the USA U20 Women’s Team in 2022, having only started frisbee the year prior
During her time with the Gobies, Isabelle has taken on a wide range of roles, from cutter to handler, while also serving in leadership and executive positions off the field. She drives strategy discussions and helps teammates think through the game in real time, while also always encouraging others to put in their best effort and keeping morale high.
Isabelle brings the energy of a firecracker and has built a reputation as a relentless shutdown defender. Despite her abnormally small feet and negative ape index, she is known for her closing speed and layout Ds (famously, former Coach Ozzie may still owe her free dinner). Her defensive intensity translates seamlessly into offense, where her field awareness and athleticism help generate flow and create opportunities.
In her PUL debut game with Indy Red, Isabelle recorded four Ds and an assist, an early glimpse of the impact she brings at the next level. Her work ethic and competitiveness show up in every point she plays, and she consistently pushes the pace of the game.
Isabelle’s impact on the Fighting Gobies extends far beyond statistics; she sets the tone for intensity and drive that defines how the team competes.
