Ericka Edgell

Biography

Ericka Edgell is without question the heart and soul of the Victoria Vikes. As a captain of 4 years, her presence is felt not just in the plays she makes, but in the way she carries herself with confidence, unwavering determination, and an infectious love for the sport. On the field, her repertoire is nothing short of masterful. She moves with intention and precision, blending instinct and skill in a way that makes the complex look effortless.

Ericka started playing ultimate in high school in Vancouver, and later continued developing with the Victoria Vikes, Vancouver Drift, and Vancouver Traffic. In 2025, she competed for Team Canada U24 Women’s and Team Canada Women’s Beach, where her performances were nothing short of outstanding.

More than her talent, it is her embodiment of the spirit of ultimate that truly sets her apart. She competes fiercely, yet always with integrity, respect, and sportsmanship at the forefront. She holds herself to the highest standard and, in doing so, encourages her teammates to rise with her.

Ericka does not just play the game, she dominates it, shaping the culture of her team and elevating the Vikes name. As she “spins gold from wheat” (Ultiword, 2026) she also leaves a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to share the field with her.
