Biography

Emily began throwing shmeat in 4th grade for Portland Middle School in Portland, Maine. From there, she played with Maine Riptide from 2014-2021, and her high school team Forest City, winning Block of the Year in 2019. Along the way, she played for local Maine and Vermont club teams Frolic, Buoy Association, and Big Rig. Poz was selected for the U20 women’s national team in 2020, and the U24 mixed team in 2025. She has played for Ruckus all four years of college, captaining her sophomore, junior, and senior year. Her leadership extended through coaching Maine and Vermont Ultimate Camps, and Vermont’s Mixed YCC team, Equinox. Ruckus cannot thank Poz enough for the countless hours spent behind the scenes teaching her friends how to throw, improve their defense, and be the best teammate they can be. Emily has shaped the foundation of Ruckus- rooted in culture, cheddar, and trust.
