Biography
Caroline Stone, an Austin, TX native, has been the backbone of every team she’s played for since May 18, 2004.
Her leadership began in 2022, when she captained her high school open team to its first Texas State Championship. That following summer, she won her first gold medal with the U20 Women’s National Team and her second one 3 years later with the U24 Mixed National Team. Her dominance continued with Ruckus, where she was named Rookie of the Year Runner-Up her freshman year. Caroline has led Ruckus to their only three national semifinal appearances, back-to-back-to-back. She inspires others to elevate, deliver in big moments, and allow, heinously.
Those tasked with the unrelenting matchup of #6 know the reality of Caroline’s visionary throws and mastery of the deep space. Her ability to take over on offense and deny on defense is exemplary, and will be showcased to the nation as she returns to the college division next season.
To us, what stands out most is Caroline’s leadership through adversity. This past year, while recovering from an ACL tear, she has remained fully committed to our team—taking our D-Line as her baby, studying each opponent, calling every defensive matchup, and offering constant coaching, feedback, and support.
She is a selfless teammate, an inspiring captain, and a ched at heart. There is no one more deserving of this nomination, or this award, than our friend, Caroline.
