Biography
Anna Pettis started playing ultimate in 2012, playing with joy, passion, and a competitive fire unlike any other. Anna has been deeply involved in the Seattle ultimate community throughout her life, winning a 2019 high school national title with Roosevelt, capturing a U17 YCC championship that same year, and earning three Washington state titles. After an incredible high school career, Anna showed a new type of resilience after tearing her ACL at Element tryouts her freshman year. She worked tirelessly to return to compete in the college division starting in 2024, becoming an immediate star on Element and captaining for the following 2 seasons. Anna has also competed with Seattle BFG and Seattle Smack! the previous club seasons, bringing the same levels of intensity and radiance to those programs.
On the field Anna is truly like no other. Her athleticism, speed, and relentless attitude pushes Element’s D line to be the absolutely best it can be. Constantly getting run through blocks, bidding to save possession, or celebrating her teammates, Anna is a standout player every time she’s on the field. Anna embodies selfless leadership, always pushing above and beyond for her team, committing countless hours to off-field work, and constantly showing up for every single player. Washington Element is proud to have her as our teammate, our captain, our DPOTY, our frolf champion, and our 2026 Callahan nominee.
