Alicia Brolly

Biography

From team: “Alicia has been a member of the Vikes since 2018. She arrived on the college scene bolstered with experience from high school and junior club ultimate and has been integral to our systems ever since. Alicia is a natural leader both on and off the field and captained her junior team Bonfire and the Vikes women’s matching team for two years each. Last season, Alicia led the Vikes for her second season in a row and helped to usher the team to USAU nationals for the first time in over a decade.
Alicia’s playstyle is both dependable and eye-catching. She is known for her resolute ability to find open space, quick footwork, and a readiness to bid both offensively and defensively. She is a core handler on the UVic team and is particularly integral to offensive movement. Last year, Alicia was among the top range of players for assists at college nationals. She played a club season with Traffic this past summer and came back to the UVic fields with even more skill and determination. This is Alicia’s final season with the Vikes. Next year, there will be an Ali sized hole on the field, along with a partybox-on-the-go sized hole on the sideline when she takes her huge speaker with her. As is the case with many excellent athletes, Alicia is humble in her abilities, so we are honoured to boast for her and present her as a 2024 Callahan nominee.”
