Biography

The University of Maryland Men’s Ultimate team proudly nominates Vincent Zhong for the 2025 Callahan Award.
Before terrorizing college defenders, Vincent led Thomas S. Wootton High School to three straight state championships—two of which may or may not have been fall leagues (we don’t fact-check glory). As a rising freshman, he stormed the club scene with Town Hall Stars and participated in U20 tryouts.
Now a captain, Vincent is Maryland’s swiss army knife, sideline hype man, and trusted mentor. He’s the first to welcome new players, the loudest voice on the sideline, and has never lost a race to the front cone. His speed and agility on the field are matched only by the ungodly pitch of his sideline screams when his teammates do something cool. His leadership has helped shape Maryland’s culture into one of joy, grit, and mild chaos.
For embodying the spirit, skill, and weirdness that make ultimate great, Vincent Zhong has our full support for the 2025 Callahan Award.
