Biography
Max “Agapito” Gibson has played for the UC San Diego Air Squids for the past 5 years and has always been a top name in the Southwest Region. Colloquially known as “red hat guy” in the Southwest, Max captained the Air Squids during the 2023-2024 college season. Using his 6’5″ stature, large bag of throws, and big mouth, Max has dominated against all opponents that match up against him. Despite being one of the best deep threats in the country, Max always ends up leading the squids at the end of the season with the most assists on the team. His assist count comes from a wide variety of hucks, high releases, NS his personal favorite, the hammer. This past summer, Max played for the SoCal Condors, being a key member of their D line and matching up against top players on the best teams in the country. Max was also offered a tryout invitation for the 2025 U-24 USA Team this past fall. Finally, Max will be entering his third season with the UFA’s San Diego Growlers. In only 20 games with the Growlers, Max has racked up 47 goals, 42 assists, and 8000 combined throwing and receiving yards. Overall, Max Gibson has played a crucial role on the Air Squids the past few seasons, playing on both sides of the ball and generating an absurd amount of goals, assists, D’s, skies, jokes, laughs, and wacky haircuts.
