Biography

Since he stepped onto the field for the first time, Luca Duclos-Orsello has always been the ultimate competitor. On the field, his work ethic and competitive spirit make him and those around him better. Luca has been a critical part of the Brownian Motion O-line for each of his four seasons with the team, where he reached two college finals, and is a reigning D-I Men’s College Champion. As a club player, Luca played one season in France with Iznogood, and two seasons with New England Scoop, where he once again became a key feature of the O-line. In addition to competitiveness, a key attribute of Luca’s ultimate career has been continual improvement. He dedicates himself to improving every aspect of his game and has been able to grow into bigger roles, now becoming a key two-way player at both the college and club levels. In high school, Luca pivoted from his background in soccer and basketball to ultimate frisbee, dedicating himself to excellence in a new domain that he knew little about. Luca has used this experience to drive player development for all of his teammates through film study, throwing sessions, and personalized feedback. As a result of his continual drive to make himself and those around him better, Brown Brownian Motion is excited to nominate Luca Duclos-Orsello for the 2025 Callahan Award.
