Linus Mallett

Biography

From team: “Linus has established himself as a leader on the Colorado State Ultimate team (Hibida) over the last five years while also simultaneously contributing his efforts towards uplifting the youth scene in Fort Collins. He is responsible for the creation and coaching of three youth club teams in the area as well as almost attending a Johnny Bravo tryout (he slept in and forgot to go).

As a two-year captain of Hibida, Linus center handled his team to many wins (as well as losses) but managed to maintain a healthy and positive culture the entire time while encouraging and ensuring growth within the entire roster, top to bottom. Despite losing two games to go in the 2022-2023 season(s), he managed to take home a win in the “King of the Heel” competition for Telemark Skiing, arguably a much more important accomplishment all things considered ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Over the last 5 years, he has dedicated time serving the Fort Collins Ultimate board as a member, directing summer camps across the Colorado area, and leading P.E. class takeovers around the Poudre School District.

Overall, Linus is undoubtedly committed to the culture and spirit that the sport of Ultimate embodies and is determined to develop a super team Jeff Babbitt-esque middle schoolers to lead him to a College Championships in the year 2032.”
