Biography
UBC Mens Ultimate is proud to present our 2025 Callahan nominee, Justin ‘Luna’ Luna. Luna started playing in grade 10 with Point Grey, trying to find a new sport to play after suffering a concussion in rugby. After driving home on a concussion at midnight after 2023 regionals, and having an ambulance cart him off the field in San Diego in 2024 with another one, he limps into his final season with the Thunderbirds.
Justin Luna is the kind of teammate everyone wants. He’s calm and composed, always leading by example, and making sure the team is working hard while still having fun. His passion for the game is obvious, but what really stands out is how much he cares about the people around him. He’s gone out of his way to connect with the rookies, making them feel welcome and supported, and he’s just an all-around great person to have in the locker room. Oh, and let’s not forget—he’s got some pretty great hair too!
