Emory Juice is proud to announce Jason Evans as our nominee for the 2025 Callahan Award. Coming from a dominant background as the #1 nationally-ranked racquetball player in his senior year of high school, Jason started Ultimate his junior year of high school as a supplement to racquetball.
Since committing fully to ultimate at Emory, Jason’s rise has transformed the team’s defensive identity. Immediately establishing himself as an elite defender, Jason led Juice in blocks in his very first full season—a trend he’s sustained every year since.
Jason’s explosive athleticism sets him apart—his gravity-defying leaps and unmatched ability to generate blocks in seemingly impossible situations consistently leave teammates and opponents alike in awe.
Beyond his unparalleled on-field impact, Jason exemplifies leadership, humility, and relentless drive. He continually motivates Juice with his unwavering energy, genuine camaraderie, and deep commitment to the team’s collective success. After going down with a hamstring injury and having to sit out most of the Series, Jason remained a steadfast leader and continually supported his teammates with his voice.
