Biography
Gabriel’s Grey Duck roots run deep. After a stint with the Tampa Bay Cannons in their final UFA season, he moved back up north to fulfill the Jagt family legacy. Gabriel followed in his brother’s (2017 Callahan finalist) footsteps and began school at the University of Minnesota, joining Grey Duck for the 2024 season. As a rookie in 2024, he posted a turnover free plus/minus of +13 in Grey Duck’s T-5th finish at college nationals, earning rookie of the year honorable mentions. Since that season, he has blossomed into a true leader on and off the field, captaining Grey Duck in 2026 (as well as 2025 Minneapolis Mallard in the club division). Gabriel brings mentorship, encouragement, and selflessness to his teammates and those around him, and Grey Duck is proud to nominate him for the 2026 Callahan Award.
