Over the last 4 years, Drew Laird has cemented one of the greatest legacies in Darkhorse program history. Since arriving in 2022, Drew has been a monster. As a 3x MVP and former ROTY, it goes without saying how impactful he is. Whether he’s on offense or defense, you can always count on him to make his presence known. There’s never a down moment when he is on the field. He makes highlight plays look effortless. Routine. As a captain of this team, he has been a major reason for our team’s success. He elevates his own game, but beyond that, he elevates his teammates too. Without him, Darkhorse would struggle to find its identity. And in addition to the many good traits he has on the field, it can all be said about him off the field. He genuinely wants to see everyone succeed, and he has always been the type of leader to go out of his way to make sure it happens. Drew Laird is truly one of a kind, and having him represent Darkhorse is truly an honor.
