Biography
From team: “Daniel Gribbin (Gribs) has embodied the spirit of Virginia Tech Burn for the past four years. He’s a D-line grinder who sends to get any disc near him, a passionate captain (despite the occasional voice crack), and a loving teammate. Gribs loses defenders on the field almost as easily as he loses everything he’s ever owned: phone, wallet, keys, water bottle, bag, jerseys, laptop charger, laptop, hat, and the disc bag, just to name a few.
After losing his whole freshman year to covid, Gribs stepped right into a starting role on VT Burn in the fall series as a sophomore. During his junior year, Gribs became our treasurer and continued to develop as a dawg on the field. In his senior year, Gribs became a captain and grew as a leader both on and off the field. His endless energy for ultimate, and life, was contagious to everyone else in leadership and his teammates. Virginia Tech Burn is proud to nominate Daniel Gribbin as our 2024 Callahan Nominee.”
