Benjamin Dameron

Biography

Ben Dameron proudly hails from Atlanta, Georgia, and is a big part of the storied legacy of Paideia Ultimate. He arrived at the University of North Carolina having made the 2020 U20 National Team, ready to make his mark for his new school and his country.

In 2021, Ben exploded on to the national stage by winning a club championship with Raleigh Ring of Fire and putting up a 17g/18a/1t performance at 2022 USAU D1 College Nationals. In total, Ben has totaled 37 goals and 51 assists across four College Nationals, racking up three titles, first- and second- team accolades, and individual player awards along the way. In 2023, he won gold with the USA U24 team and served as a captain, and in 2024, he was a WUC Gold Medalist with the USA National Team. He is the only college division player to receive a USA World Games tryout, making it to the final selection round.

As incredible of a player as Ben is, he has been an even better teammate over his Darkside tenure. Ben has been an invaluable part of building Darkside’s culture to be one of honesty, openness, and passion, and he wears his heart on his sleeve both on and off the field–always one to show that he loves you, that he believes in you, that he is there for you. We’re so proud of everything he’s accomplished and will continue to accomplish, and are ecstatic to call him our nominee, teammate, and friend.
