Andy Ploskunak

Biography

Andy Ploskunak’s journey from a Cleveland summer league novice to Brimstone’s superstar is a testament to his relentless work ethic. Entering college with zero ultimate experience, Andy’s meteoric rise saw him earn a spot on O-line by his sophomore year and on crossover lines for every critical point by his junior and senior years. Despite a packed schedule as a computer science major, Army ROTC cadet, and fantasy football bottom-feeder, he continued honing the clinical break throws and shifty handler movement that would lead him to elite sectionals-level club programs like Scoop and Cash Crop.

On the field, Andy is an absolute nightmare to defend. While he might be overlooked for his height, his explosive athleticism and military-approved body allow him to outbid and sky the division’s most accomplished players with ease. His competitive grit is best defined by his return from multiple grueling knee injuries his senior year, battling back to lead Brimstone as a two-year captain and the definitive face of the program.

Off the field, Andy somehow finds the time to be a star student while balancing the rigors of the Army ROTC curriculum and Brimstone’s intense training programs. He’s the kind of guy who casually runs marathons and competes in Iron Mans the weekend after playing 80% of points at a frisbee tournament, channeling that same “Plop” energy he’s had since his rookie season to the “Captain America” aura he’s radiated ever since.

Duke Brimstone is honored to nominate Andy Ploskunak as our 2026 Callahan candidate!
