Kaitlyn Weaver is a two-time captain for the Burning Skirts, and she has been an instrumental part of the team for the past four years. In those four years, she has worked to improve and grow our team culture to be more close-knit, positive and committed, while also becoming a more nationally competitive team. She constantly improves her own game while helping her teammates improve in the process. Kaitlyn is always an inspiration and role model of hard work in everything, from practice, to workouts, to games and more. When not making incredible plays on the field, she is emphatically cheering her teammates on from the sideline. Her whole heart is in everything she does on and off the field.
Outside of Skirts, Kaitlyn is an environmental science major with a minor in anthropology. She takes advantage of being at UCSB by enjoying time at the beach with friends, and she is always a big advocate for team hangouts. Kaitlyn has also helped in the local Santa Barbara ultimate community with multiple Womxns and Girls Community clinics, and she has played for the womxn’s club team, LA Rampage, for the past two years. She is a dedicated teammate and friend, and an incredible player, captain and role model.View Nominee Video
