Emily Chong #47 is an all around amazing ultimate player. Known as “Chong” by her birdie teammates, her focused defense, crazy skies, confident handler movement, and calm leadership have allowed her to shine in this year’s T-birds season. In addition to playing UBC women’s ultimate since 2019, Chong played with Team Canada back in 2016 and grew up playing juniors in her hometown of Vancouver, BC. Chong’s awareness on the field allows her to stay focused in tough games no matter the weather or opponent. A consistent d-line handler who can make sick plays on both O and D while maintaining a positive leadership role is why Chong is deserving of this nomination.
