Stewart Kelley

Biography

The University of North Carolina at Wilmington Seamen are proud to nominate our two time captain and president, Stewart Kelley. Stewart embodies what it means to be a Seamen, and his passion for the game is undeniable. He was described as a “Jack of all trades, master of most of them. The putty and glue of Wilmington” by our coach Dalton Vestal. Ever since his rookie season, he has been a steady force on the Wilmington O-Line and has played every position on the field. That steady force is exemplified by the fact that in his college career, fall and spring, he has played in every game. Stewart has also enjoyed success in his home state of Maine, where in his 5th season with Red Tide, he helped lead them back to nationals for the first time in 26 years. He has also coached for his old YCC and High School team, both of which he captained twice. Stewart has also been the president of UNCW’s Sport Club Council for the last two years, which has led to our team receiving the most funding in the team’s history from the school. Stewart is a substantial and essential player for the team, and we are proud for him to be our 2026 Callahan nominee.
