Biography
Joe Cercello has been playing on the Illinois State Gnomes since the fall of 2019 and has been a major part of the team’s success ever since he stepped foot on the field with them. Serving as captain for 2 years, he has proven to be one of the best on field leaders that any teammate could ask for. He not only plays his heart out, working every second of every point to ensure his team’s success, but is also a fantastic off-field leader, willing to help his teammates get better, both as ultimate players and as people off the field. The rest of the team cannot wait to see what his club career as well as his professional career as a special education teacher have to offer. He will be irreplaceable on the field, but more importantly, irreplaceable as a friend.
